A peaceful retreat from the cares and stresses of life
Applecross has a wealth of scenery, wildlife and things to do. It is a walkers and photographers paradise, with scenic walks ranging from sheltered wooded paths, ideal for a rainy day, to more challenging hill tracks and mountains with deer, eagles, otters and other wild life. There is a sandy beach and a Neolithic cave at Sand.
We aim to make our breakfasts a showcase for local and Scottish food. There is an extensive breakfast menu including full Scottish breakfast, and home made vegetarian options.
For evening meals there is the Applecross Inn and the Walled Garden restaurant, each award winning with distinctive local dishes, featuring delicious fresh seafood for which the area is renowned.
We have excellent drying facilities for boots and anoraks for those who come in wet from the hills and a good selection of maps, guides and route cards on local walks to enable you to make the most of your stay. Television and wireless internet are also available for guests.
On a sunny evening it is a short walk by the waters edge to a headland, where at low tide you can watch seals basking on the rocks. Some of our guests have even seen otters there. Turning the other way you quickly reach a point with fantastic 360 degrees views of mountains, islands and sea.
One night's stay will not be enough.
